Setup & troubleshooting

Connect your first advertising account

Set up a PlugMind workspace, authorize Google or Meta, and verify a read-only report in your AI assistant.

Updated ·PlugMind team

Choose the client workspace

Create your PlugMind account and open the dashboard. Choose the workspace that belongs to the client you want to work on. Keep different clients in separate workspaces so account access remains explicit.

For Google Ads, authorize a login with access to the serving advertising account. A manager account is a container for clients; select the client account whose campaigns you want to review. For Meta, authorize a login with the necessary ad-account and Page access.

Connect your assistant

Add the PlugMind app or remote MCP connection using the setup supported by your ChatGPT or Claude workspace. The remote endpoint is https://www.plugmind.io/mcp. Sign in to PlugMind when the authorization window opens.

Assistant access and advertising-platform permissions are separate. Your AI workspace must allow the app or connector, and the platform login must have access to the intended account. Availability can depend on your assistant plan and administrator settings.

Verify before requesting changes

Ask: In workspace [name], list my connected advertising accounts. Confirm the account name and ID, then show spend and results for the last 30 days. Do not change anything.

Check the account, currency and date range in the answer. If more than one account matches, choose by name. Never substitute an account just because it is the first result. A successful read does not authorize a campaign change.

If connection fails

Check that you signed in to the intended PlugMind workspace and platform login. Reconnect expired or revoked grants using the dashboard. For Meta, inspect the live permission readiness and asset list before repeating campaign preparation.

If a read succeeds but creation fails, inspect the exact platform error. Missing Page access, unsupported settings and account restrictions are different problems and require different fixes.

Put it into practice

Build an evidence-based Search account review: performance changes, query quality, and the next issues to investigate.
