What you need to know
- On-demand assistant workflows and scheduled automation are different capabilities.
- Start with a repeatable account review whose results you can verify.
- Use specific approvals for writes and inspect the resulting account state.
Define what you want to automate
“Automate Google Ads” can mean retrieving reports, preparing campaign changes, executing approved operations, or checking the account every morning without a conversation. Those are different requirements. PlugMind connects Claude to supported Google reporting and write tools; it does not currently provide a general recurring account-monitoring scheduler.
| Task | PlugMind workflow today |
|---|---|
| Retrieve campaign and keyword evidence | On-demand reporting within the connected account. |
| Investigate irrelevant queries | Search-term review with recommendations for human evaluation. |
| Prepare a new Search campaign | Validation and approval before paused creation. |
| Check the account every morning and send an alert | Not a built-in recurring monitoring capability. |
| Continuously optimize all bidding strategies | Not a documented autonomous bidding service. |
Choose one recurring manual task as the starting point. “Review these queries and prepare a recommendation” has a clear output; “maximize my profit” leaves the assistant guessing about margins, attribution and business constraints.
Connect once, verify scope on every task
Authorize Google Ads in the correct PlugMind workspace, then connect PlugMind through the setup supported by your Claude environment. Verify the account list before analysis. This article concerns the supported Claude connection, not an untested Claude Code installation or a claim of official marketplace approval.
Tell Claude the workspace, account, period and metric definitions. Ask it to show any result limits. When you manage several clients, retrieve and label each account separately; do not blend currencies or infer that similar account names refer to the same business.
Move from evidence to a specific proposal
Select a recommendation before authorizing a change. The assistant should restate the object IDs, settings and resulting status. If a proposed budget changes, or the destination account changes, review the updated proposal rather than treating the original conversation as permanent authorization.
For a Search build, include the campaign brief and require new objects to remain paused. For existing campaigns, confirm whether a status change will affect spending. Review the actual operation supported by the enabled tool; a natural-language request does not make unsupported platform functionality available.
Keep a decision record containing the reason, approved scope, execution result and object IDs. This can be a document maintained by your team. Do not assume PlugMind has saved permanent brand memory or will remember the same constraints in another conversation.
Turn a useful workflow into a team routine
Reuse the review prompt with a fresh reporting period. Compare the output with platform evidence and record unresolved questions. Over time, refine the brief around the errors your team actually encounters: misleading conversion totals, missing rows or unclear account selection.
If your requirement is unattended scheduled checks, evaluate an appropriate scheduling system separately. Google Ads scripts support scheduled execution, while native rules support defined condition-based actions. Their existence does not mean a PlugMind conversation automatically inherits a schedule.
The first success criterion should be a correct, repeatable review with fewer manual handoffs. Measure it against the time and corrections your team previously needed, rather than accepting an unsupported promise of a particular percentage improvement.
Frequently asked questions
Can Claude check my account while I am offline?
That requires a scheduling and execution system. PlugMind’s documented account-review workflow is on demand; approved Meta batch background execution is a different feature.
Does Claude automatically know our margins?
Provide the relevant business context. This release does not provide a dedicated persistent client-brief feature.
Is this the same as Smart Bidding?
No. An assistant workflow retrieves data and uses exposed operations. Platform bidding systems are separate capabilities.
