Quick answer

What you need to know

  • First identify which connector you are using; official Meta and PlugMind connections have different setup paths.
  • Account visibility, permission grants and Page access are separate checks.
  • A missing account should be investigated, not replaced with another available client.

Identify the failing connection

“Connected” can mean several things: the assistant recognizes a connector, you signed in to a service, or the service can actually read the intended advertising account. Work out which of those steps succeeded before reconnecting everything.

Check the connector’s name and provider. This article describes PlugMind diagnostics; it does not claim that PlugMind can fix restrictions in Meta’s official connector. If you use the official connector, follow its own support and availability guidance.

Write down the account you expected, the account list returned, the workspace name and the exact error. Do not include access tokens or client secrets in a support message. A specific failed read is much easier to diagnose than a general statement that the integration does not work.

PlugMind workspaceYou selected the intended client and have access.List accessible workspaces and resolve ambiguous names.
Facebook loginThe authorized person can access the intended account.Compare with the account visible under that login in Ads Manager.
Live permission grantRequired permissions are currently granted.Run Meta permission readiness and inspect missing permissions.

Meta’s SDK documentation describes access tokens as authorization associated with a user, app or Page. Access depends on the authorized identity and permissions; a successful login is not proof of access to every business asset.

Run a read-only diagnostic before reconnecting

If the account is present but a Page is missing, investigate asset access rather than repeating account discovery. If a report succeeds but ad creation fails, inspect the creation error and its required assets. Those are different failure modes.

Avoid repeatedly requesting the same failed operation. Collect the error and the smallest relevant diagnostic result. A generic error is not evidence that the user needs a new developer application or broader permissions.

Reconnect only when the evidence calls for it

When a grant is expired, revoked or missing required permissions, reconnect Meta through the PlugMind dashboard using the intended Facebook login. Then repeat account discovery and readiness checks before retrying the original read.

If the login itself lacks account access, reconnecting will not create that access. Ask the business administrator to verify the appropriate assignment. If Meta reports an account restriction, handle that in Meta’s support or account-management process.

  • Verify the expected account after recovery.
  • Run a small read-only report and check its account ID.
  • For a previously failed write, validate a fresh proposal and obtain approval again.
  • Keep the original error and recovery steps for support if the issue persists.

Frequently asked questions

Why can I see one account but not another?

The authorized login or connector may have different access to each account. Check the expected account explicitly rather than assuming visibility of one proves visibility of all.

Will reconnecting fix a missing Facebook Page?

Only if the underlying grant or authorized login was the cause. Page and identity access may require separate asset assignments.

Do these steps change ads?

The diagnostic prompt is read-only. Reconnecting changes authorization, not campaign settings; campaign actions still require their own review.
