ROAS = attributed revenue ÷ ad spend

Read the number in context

A worked example

12,000 in attributed revenue divided by 3,000 in ad spend gives a ROAS of 4.00×. That is four units of attributed revenue for every unit spent on ads.

Revenue is not profit

ROAS excludes costs such as inventory, shipping, fees, refunds, and labor. Attribution rules can also assign the same sale to more than one channel; avoid double-counting revenue.

Calculator questions

Do I need to connect an account?

No. This calculator runs in your browser using the values you enter. It does not retrieve or modify advertising account data.

Which currency should I use?

Use the same currency for revenue and spend. The ratio itself is unitless. Convert currencies consistently before combining reports.

What happens with zero ad spend?

The ratio is undefined when ad spend is zero. The calculator asks for a positive denominator instead of presenting a misleading zero or infinite result.

What is a good ROAS?

There is no universal target. Your acceptable return depends on margin, customer value, attribution, and the costs not included in this calculation.
