CPC = ad spend ÷ clicks
Read the number in context
A worked example
600 in ad spend divided by 400 clicks gives a CPC of 1.50 in the same currency as the spend. Keep click definitions consistent when comparing reports.
Cheaper is not always better
A lower CPC can still produce a higher acquisition cost if those clicks do not convert. Compare traffic quality, conversion rate, and business outcomes alongside click cost.
Calculator questions
Do I need to connect an account?
No. This calculator runs in your browser using the values you enter. It does not retrieve or modify advertising account data.
Which currency should I use?
Use the currency of your spend report. The result is in that currency per click; the calculator does not perform exchange-rate conversion.
What happens with zero clicks?
The ratio is undefined when clicks is zero. The calculator asks for a positive denominator instead of presenting a misleading zero or infinite result.
What is a good CPC?
There is no universal benchmark. Auction competition, audience intent, conversion rate, and customer value determine whether a click cost is worthwhile.
